Our Plants...
Riverlands Eltham
Situated in the Taranaki province, under the shadow of Mount Egmont, the Eltham plant was originally constructed at the turn of the century by JC Hutton Limited. Riverlands took over the plant in 1987. Taranaki, being a prominent dairying district of New Zealand, provided an abundance of cull cows which subsequently became the driving force for the company's growth.
The Eltham Plant operates seven days per week under a four by four day shift operation and a Monday to Friday nightshift, with the capacity to process in excess of 1,000 head of cattle daily which conform to USDA, EU and Halal production standards. All classes of cattle are processed for the world markets in both chilled and frozen form.
Riverlands Manawatu
The Riverlands Manawatu plant, sited in the township of Bulls, operates as a satellite to the Eltham plant. Although at present processing up to 400 head of cattle a day.
The Manawatu plant also processes all classes of cattle in chilled and frozen form to USDA, EU and Halal production standards.
